The colors in this design are more intense and although the design is very full and looks complicated, it isn’t. The use of various rose styles contributes greatly to this purely ornamental painting. There is a little indication of a light source, from the center of the design, but lighting is used more in a decorative sense here. Roses are the center of interest and they spread throughout the design with restful interludes between.
